The Old Barstools are witty. They’re profound. They’re sentimental. They’re rockers. And they’re a bar load of fun. Started in 2015 as a throw-together band to fill a slot for a friend’s bar, the Old Barstools stumbled onto something. They realized that writing, playing, and recording can be fun—and they’ve been doing it ever since. With two full-length records under their belt—Thrill Of It All (2018) and Wishing (2022)—their songs run the gamut from cry-in-your-beer country to throw-your-hands-in-the-air Americana rock. As OffBeat Magazine put it, “This band can be called a lot of things—witty, sincere, fun, loud and sometimes raucous, but one thing they never are is boring.” Made up of five New Orleans area veteran musicians, the Old Barstools are a good time for your ears, no matter where your ears go.
